Painting is mostly not painting. It is patching, caulking, sanding, masking and cleaning — and how carefully that is done decides whether the finish still looks right in five years or starts peeling at the first wet winter.
Dan preps before he opens a can. Filled and sanded flat, edges caulked, hardware off rather than taped around where it matters, and floors and plants actually covered. Then the paint goes on in full coats, in the right conditions, with cut lines you do not have to squint past.
Interior or exterior, one room or a whole elevation. If the house is in an association with an approved palette, he will work to it.

Do you paint one room, or only whole houses?
One room is fine. So is one wall, one door or a set of shutters. Dan prices the job in front of him rather than trying to grow it into something bigger.
How long does exterior paint last around here?
On the coast, expect the sun-and-salt elevation to need attention years before the sheltered sides do. Repainting one or two elevations on a cycle is normal and much cheaper than waiting for the whole house to fail.
Do I have to buy the paint?
Either way. Dan will pick it up with the quoted allowance, or you can supply it if you already have a color matched and on hand.
